Nathaniel Brown; Director of Advocacy, Chronic Disease Coalition

Nathaniel joined the Chronic Disease Coalition in 2021, bringing several years’ experience in government relations, communications, and policy analysis to the role. As the CDC’s Director of Advocacy, Nathaniel manages the organization’s engagement in statehouses across the country, connecting advocates with legislators and ensuring that the CDC makes meaningful progress in achieving our legislative goals.

Stacey Poole; Director, Therapeutic Area Policy and Advocacy, Takeda Pharmaceuticals and Chronic Disease Coalition Board Member

Stacey is the Director of GI Policy and Advocacy within Takeda’s US Public Affairs function and has over 36 years of public policy experience. After a long period of staff service in the US House of Representatives, she began a career in public policy and advocacy in the pharmaceutical sector. For the past 9 years, she has been at Takeda Pharmaceuticals where her primary focus has been on gastroenterology therapies and patients. She is the primary liaison to the CDC for Takeda, and currently serves on the Executive Board.

Claire Sachs; Ambassador, Chronic Disease Coalition

Claire is a veteran CDC ambassador and advocacy superstar! She has a wealth of knowledge in the advocacy space and helps others navigate their chronic disease through her patient advocacy blog “The Patient Advocate's Chronicle,” and her healthcare experience consultancy, TPAC Consulting. She knows the impact sharing patient stories can have.
