I advocate to spread awareness and allow others to feel safe enough to share their story and know they're seen, heard and understood. I advocate for all patients of chronic diseases. I advocate for my mom with Alzheimer's, my nephew with asthma, my friend with Crohn's Disease and everyone who falls in between. I want to hear people's stories, and find a way to enhance quality of care for chronic disease patients everywhere. 

Chronic diseases are often misunderstood and overlooked in social and medical environments, and spreading awareness is the first step to ending this cycle. It's often frustrating for both family members and patients to advocate for themselves and what they need and deserve. Serving as a voice to let people everywhere know chronic disease patients are here, deserve to be taken as seriously as others, and are fighting everyday, is the least I can do as I start my journey as an advocate.
