We're thrilled to launch the first installment of the 2024 Chronic University series, an initiative aimed at empowering patients to become advocates for themselves and their communities. Our first session, titled "First Step in Activism: Informing Policy Makers," is now available, and we couldn't be more excited to share it with you.

What is Chronic University?

Chronic University is our virtual platform designed to inspire and prepare individuals to advocate for themselves in various settings, particularly in the realm of health care policy. Through quarterly sessions, we provide practical training to advocates, highlight the advocacy work of allies, and emphasize the many ways patients can impact health care policy.

In this first episode of the year, we explore the importance of the patient voice in policymaking and provide actionable steps for individuals to share their personal stories effectively. Led by Nathaniel Brown, director of advocacy for the Chronic Disease Coalition, this session demystifies the legislative process and equips participants with the tools they need to make a difference right away.
