Fall 2020 Advocacy Update
As summer comes to an end, we enter an uncertain and important time for chronic disease patients everywhere. In addition to the continued spread of COVID-19, we are on the doorstep of an important election with far reaching implications for chronic disease patients.
During this time, it is easy to be left with many questions and few answers. However, the Chronic Disease Coalition will continue engaging with policymakers, partners and patients to prioritize the protection of our community.
Fall has many exciting opportunities for engagement and participation in discussions surrounding coronavirus relief, back to school, workplace accessibility, open enrollment, surprise medical billing and more. Join us and make a difference for chronic disease patients everywhere.
Don't miss an important webinar with CDC Executive Director Scott Bruun. On Thursday, Oct. 8, Scott will be honing in on coronavirus-related policy and protections for chronic disease patients considering reopening across the nation. Register for October's Webinar!
COVID has affected every American and indelibly changed our way of life. No one has escaped the many burdens of 2020. But those of us with chronic diseases have had an additional layer of worry, burden and risk as we seek to negotiate our health and safety amidst this pandemic. This is why we look forward to offering a high-level webinar discussion on the issue of COVID and Chronic Disease at 2:00PM ET on Thursday, October 8th. Our webinar will tackle many of the most pressing issues around COVID and chronic disease. Discussion items will include the unique dangers and disproportionate impacts of COVID on chronic disease patients. We will also look at access issues and evolving public policy, as well as considerations for patients as we move - hopefully - toward the COVID vaccination phase. We are still assembling our final roster of panelists, but invitees include patient advocate professionals from the American Diabetes Association, Crohn's and Colitis Foundation, National Psoriasis Foundation and the Arthritis Foundation.Sign up for our newsletter here to receive important advocacy and policy updates!
